Cardiolife AED-3100 Automated External Defibrillator
Easy to use:
This automated external defibrillator is ideal for emergency use and can be used easily by lay people. Voice output, designed in accordance with international recommendations (ILCOR), guides the user safely and systematically through resuscitation procedures. After the user has moved the pushbutton on the unit to defibrillation for an adult or child, simply three additional steps following the voice instructions:
Step 1: Turn on the power
Step 2: Position the shock electrodes
Step 3: Press the shock button
Once a heart rate suitable for defibrillation has been detected, the AED-3100 starts the automatic loading process and indicates when to press the shock button.
The NIHON KOHDEN VF Continuous Analysis Algorithm analyzes the ECG waveform even during CPR. Charge begins before shock is advised. This allows you to perform defibrillation faster than ever before.
The AED-3100 provides defibrillation using a lower biphasic impulse curve. It needs less energy than traditional monophasic defibrillation and therefore protects the heart muscle. Better results are obtained with biphasic technology, protecting the patient from sudden cardiac arrest.
Because NIHON KOHDEN uses a particular T-circuit, the ActiBiphasic technology developed by NIHON KOHDEN offers an improvement over most conventional biphasic circuit concepts. In traditional biphasic circuits, the shock pulse expands as soon as the transition resistance increases. This reduces the effectiveness of defibrillation. The NIHON KOHDEN T circuit actively controls the shape of the curve in the second phase of the impulse pulse and thus provides a constant pulse curve.
For adult and pediatric patients:
The NIHON KOHDEN AED-3100 can be used for adult and pediatric patients without changing the pads. The NIHON KOHDEN single energy switch allows defibrillating pediatric patients by simply switching to the child mode of the defibrillator to provide less energy. Drowning accidents can lead to ventricular fibrillation in children.
With an IP55 class international protection class, the AED-3100 is protected against water jets and can be used in these environments.
AED with memory function:
When using the AED-3100, resuscitation data (ECG and event information) is collected and saved for 30 minutes. As a result, up to three applications can be documented and analyzed over a period of up to 90 minutes. In addition, the unit's daily self-tests (31 entries), monthly self-tests (12 entries) and other tests (50 entries) can be saved and read for maintenance activities.
Every day (at noon), the AED-3100 tests itself to monitor the functionality of the device, battery and electrodes. The test results can then be displayed as a red / green status indicator (green = fully operational) which is clearly visible without opening the device.
Saved data and test results can be wirelessly transmitted to a PC via a Bluetooth interface, where they can be easily displayed and analyzed using the AED transcription software.
